Geneva Gwynn Stanfield October 02, 1926 – January 27, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Geneva Gwynn Stanfield, 92, of 160 Cooper Street, Danville, VA, passed away, Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Blue Ridge Health & Rehab. Center, Martinsville, VA. Born October 2, 1926 in Pittsylvania County, VA, she was the daughter of the late George A. Gwynn and Jennie Bell Apple Gwynn.

She was married to the late Maxie Stanfield. Survivors include two nephews, Elroy Gwynn, Jr. of Danville, VA and Charles L. Gwynn of Ringgold, VA; two nieces, Emma G. Dallas and Mary Ann Frith both of Danville, VA and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three brothers, Augusta W. Gwynn, George A, Guinn, Jr. and Elroy H. Gwynn, Sr; two sisters, Eliza Bell Gwynn and Irene Gwynn.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 12 Noon from the Chapel of Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan L. King, Sr., Eulogist. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens.

Family visitation will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 4-8 at Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home. Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home is assisting the Stanfield family.
