Ronnie Lee “Cody” Motsinger, 71, of 12265 Martinsville Highway, Apt. 20, Danville, VA died Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at the V.A. Medical Center in Salem, VA. Born in Danville, VA.

on January 12, 1948, Ronnie was a son of the late Gilbert Leroy Motsinger and Purdie Leigh Cash Motsinger. He lived most of his life in Danville, VA and was retired due to disability. Ronnie was a veteran, serving in the United States Marine Corps.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Jason Patrick Motsinger. Survivors include a son, Erik Shane Motsinger; two daughters, Ashley Dawn Cottrel, and Candy Lee Motsinger; special friend, Joyce Wilson; a brother, Randolph Motsinger; two sisters, Dixie Gale, and Debra Jean Rigney; five grandchildren; and his Boxer, Loxy. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 6:00 P.M. at the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel with the Reverend Hershel Stone officiating.

Interment will follow at a later date at the V.A. Cemetery in Quantico, VA. Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel is serving the Motsinger family. Online condolences may be made at www.
