Nancy Motley Terry, age 91, passed away on January 19, 2019, in Danville, Virginia at Roman Eagle Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Terry was born on November 7, 1927 in Danville, Virginia, to parents Adrian Jackson Motley, Sr. and Jessie Elizabeth Ferguson Motley who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Raymond Wesley Terry; her sister, Ruth Elizabeth Motley; her brother Adrian Jackson Motley, Jr. and his wife Josephine Hankins Motley; and her nephew James Turner.

Mrs. Terry is survived by her brother Nelson F. Motley, Sr. and wife Elaine, of Virgilina; her nieces Gaye Dawson, Diane Turner, Debbie Motley, and Allyn Beth Motley; and her nephews C. David Terry, Michael Nicklow and Nelson F. Motley, Jr Mrs. Terry was employed in the telecom industry for almost fifty years, working for C&P Telephone Company, AT&T, and Verizon. She was a member of the St. Luke’s United Methodist Church of Danville, Virginia.

A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 in Highland Burial Park at 2:00 PM with the Reverend Susan Hannah officiating. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Nancy Terry’s life. The family would like to thank the staff and caretakers at Roman Eagle for their kindness and care.
