Josephine Dixon Terry August 14, 1920 – January 11, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Josephine Dixon Terry, 98, formerly of 323 Third Avenue, Danville, VA, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 188 Cross Creek Lane, Danville, VA. Born August 4, 1920 in Pittsylvania County, VA, she was the daughter of the late James and Lottie Mae Adams Dixon. She was married to the late Edmond Terry.

Survivors include two daughters, June Glass (John) and Joyce Kissee (Walter) both of Danville, VA; one son, James Terry (Barbara) of Danville, VA; three sisters, Hilda Fitzgerald (Omie) of Landover, MD, Fannie Motley of Bladensburg, MD and Nancy Faison of Washington, DC and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two daughters, Dottie Mae Jones and Shirley Dickerson Hairston; nine siblings, Alice White, Ruth Adams, Thelma Waters, James Dixon, Wilson Dison, Curtis Dison, Percy Dixon, Rueben Dixon and Hampton Dixon. The family will receive friends at the residence of her daugher, June Glass (John) at 188 Cross Creek Lane, Danville, VA.

Funeral services are incomplete at this time and will be announced when completed. Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home is assisting the Terry family.
