Born March 14, 1940 in Pittsylvania County, VA, she was the daughter of the late William Kent Terry and Alice Wimbush Robinson. She was married to the late John Issac Womack and later to Douglas Jeffreys.

Survivors include one daughter, Rosezetta Whiting (David) of Anchorage, AK; one son, Lewis Womack of Danville, VA; nine grandchildren, Stevon Cardwell, Nekita Jackson, Tamara Robetson, Derrell Miller, Isaac Winslow, Darrion Womack, Kijana Womack and LeTheo Proctor; six sisters, Juanita Gunter and Louella Mayo both of Danville, VA, Willa Wimbush and Sandra Mohorn both of Mt. Vernon, NY, Myrtle McLaughlin (Jesse) of Anchorage, AK, Dorothy Cobbs (Lennie) of Wyandanch, NY; three brothers, Darryl Robinson of Wyandanch, NY, Cecil McLaughlin and Mudia McLaughlin both of Sutherlin, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was predeceased one daughter, Alice Faye Cardwell; eleven siblings, Joan Hill, Barbara Fitzgerald, Mary Coleman, Rosa Mae McLaughlin, Mary Ann McLaughlin, Peter McLaughlin, William McLaughlin, Frank McLaughlin, Parker Lee McLaughlin, Nathaniel Terry and Lawson Williams.

Funeral services are incomplete at this time and will be announced when completed. Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home is assisting the Hairston family.
