Janis Marie Harris, 66, of Danville, died Monday, February 18, 2019 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Janis was born on December 28, 1952 a daughter, of James Thomas Harris, who survives and the late Ruth Sawyers Harris. Janis worked as a Teacher for Sacred Heart Catholic School and Caswell County School System.

She was a member of First Independent Methodist Church and was a devoted cat lover. Survivors in addition to her father include a sister, Brenda Carter (Raymond), a brother, Ricky Harris (Deborah). Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 from the Mausoleum Chapel at Danville Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev.

David Wilson. The family will receive friends after the service on Friday and at other times at the residence of her father, James Harris 139 Bernard Court. Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel is serving the Harris family.
