Donna Davis Davidson, 90, formally of 154 Kentuck Road, Danville VA went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Summit Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lynchburg, VA after being in declining health for the last five years. Mrs. Davidson was born on December 28, 1928, daughter of the late Jack and Odell Slayton Davis. She spent most of her life in the Pittsylvania County area until she moved to Lynchburg to be with her daughter in 2016.

She was an assistant manager for the former Mitchells Formal Wear and was a member of Laurel Grove Baptist Church where she enjoyed being in the choir. Donna was known to be the life of the party and always fun to be around; she was a loving and caring person and always held family and friends dear to her heart. She was married to the late Gordon Woody Davidson.

In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by son, Harry Thomas Brooks, Jr.; brother, Jack Davis; and sister, Alise Battermann. Survivors include daughter, Tracy Goforth and husband, Charles of Forest, VA; son, Dan R. Brooks and wife Sharon of Charles City, VA; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Highland Burial Park with the Reverend Carl Burger and Mr. Lester Tate officiating.

Interment will follow in the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel prior to the service. The family would like to wish a special thank you to the hospice staff of Summit Health and Rehabilitation Center for all the love and care given to Donna during this difficult time.
