Daniel Burnette Newman, 66, of the Brosville Community departed this life on Thursday, January 24, 2019. Danny was born in Danville, VA on May 17, 1952 a son of the late Price Newman and Manda Burnette Newman. Danny retired from APAC-VA where he was a truck driver, was a member of Moffett Memorial Baptist Church and the Danville Elks Lodge # 227.

Survivors include his fiancé and longtime friend, Sue Ludwick, a brother, Don Newman, a sister-in-law, Susan Newman, a nephew, Donald Newman, II; and a host of special friends. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2019, at 2:00 PM from the graveside in Highland Burial Park conducted by the Rev. Jeffrey Wright.
