Leon Dale Kendrick, 63, of 1408 Blair Loop Road, Danville, VA died Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at his residence after a decline in his health for the past twenty years. Born in Chatham, VA on October 30, 1955, Dale was a son of the late Earl Garfield Kendrick and Gereline Herndon Kendrick. He lived most of his life in Danville and Pittsylvania County, VA.

He retired from J.W. Squire where he worked in the warehouse as a Tow Motor Operator. He was of the Christian faith. Dale was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his fiancee, Judy Coward. She died on November 7, 2015. Survivors include three sisters, Cynthia Sowers, of Chatham, VA, Sandra Sanchez (Richard), of Gulfport MS, and Debbie Bergantin, of Callands, VA; a brother, Darrell Kendrick, of Callands, VA.

A memorial graveside service will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Highland Burial Park with his family officiating. Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel is serving the Kendrick family.
