Janet Wade, 84, of Harrisburg, NC, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019. Mrs. Wade was born on June 5, 1934, in the Swatara Township, PA, to the late Russell and Esther Ebling. She lived most of her life in Danville, VA and worked in the weave room at Dan River Mills until retirement.

She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Wade is survived by a daughter, Selena Hanks of Harrisburg, NC; son, Rodger D. Wade of North Myrtle Beach; son-in-law, Darrel Hanks; grandson, Joseph Hanks; sister, Sondra Russell; and brother, Russell Ebling. of PA.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wade was predeceased by son, Dennis R. Wade; sisters, Patricia Bond, Mary Louise Murin; and brother, Harold J. Ebling. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 2 PM, in Highland Burial Park with Dr. Charles Scearce officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 12:30 until 1:30 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home.
