Anna Kathleen Sawyers, 95, of Danville, died Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at her residence. Mrs. Sawyers was born in Danville VA on August 29, 1923 a daughter of the late Reuben Eldridge Sawyers and Pearl Harris Sawyers. Mrs. Harris worked as a Bookkeeper for Dan River Credit Union and later URW Credit Union.

She was a member of First Independent Methodist Church where she was a past Treasurer. She loved to sew. Survivors include a brother-in-law, James T. Harris, a niece, Brenda H. Carter (Raymond); a nephew, Richard T. Harris (Deborah).

Two sisters, Ruth S. Harris, Mary F. Sawyers; and a niece, Janis M. Harris, predeceased her. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 2:00 PM from the graveside at Mountain View Cemetery conducted by the Rev. David Wilson.
