David Dean Moore, 87, of 761 Rocksprings Road, Ringgold, died Wednesday, February 20, 2019 after a decline in health for the past two years. David was born in Pittsylvania County, VA on October 11, 1931 a son of the late William Andrew Moore and Eva Eaton Moore. David worked for Lorillard Tobacco Company for 28 years where he was a maintenance mechanic.

He was a member of Moffett Memorial Baptist Church. On December 18, 1954, he married Corrine Lynch Moore, who survives of the residence. Survivors also include a daughter, Angela Marie Moore; two sons, Joseph W. Moore, and wife, Lisa; Monty Moore; a brother, Frank Moore; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, David Anthony “Tony” Moore, three brothers and three sisters. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Moffett Memorial Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Jonathan Hilliard.

The family will receive friends on Sunday after the service in the Church Fellowship Hall. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made to Kentuck Vol. Fire Dept.
