Obituary for Geneva Stephens Geneva Stephens Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, May 9, 2018, Geneva Stephens, 83, loving wife of the late Mr. J. W. Stephens, Sr Mrs. Stephens was a lifelong resident of Augusta, Georgia. Always putting her family first, she was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Mrs. Stephens was a faithful Christian and member of The Sanctuary church. As a devoted employee, she retired from Southern Bell after 35 years of service. Family members, in addition to the late Mr. James Wilbert Stephens, Sr., include: sons: Bert Stephens (Mary) and Phil Stephens; grandchildren: April Emory (Patrick), Fred Hucksom (Crystal), Cody Stephens, and Kyle Stephens (Brook); seven great grandchildren; brothers: Langdon Atkins (Caroline) and Tony Atkins (Tess); sister: Brenda Fuller (Wayne).

Mrs. Geneva Stephens was preceded in death by sisters: Sybil Rogers and Bobbie Carter; daughter in-law: Stephanie Stephens. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son Chapel with Rev. Bryan Cockrell officiating.

Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 1:00 P.M until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd.
