Obituary for Genevieve Deloris Dorsey (Robinson) Genevieve Deloris Robinson Dorsey, 88, of Shinnston passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018 at her home. She was born April 24, 1930 in Wallace a daughter of the late Chester A. and Iva Pearl Bennett Robinson. Mrs. Dorsey was preceded in death by her husband, Paul F. Dorsey who passed away April 30, 1991.

She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Brogley of Pittsburgh; and Sheila Adams of Grafton; her grandson, Bryan Daniel Brogley and his father, Bernie Brogley both of Pittsburgh; nieces and nephews, Paula Harrison of Shinnston; Bill Gifford and his wife Donna Jean of Pennsylvania; Johnny Gerrard and his wife Nancy of Follansbee; great-nieces and nephews, Rich Harrison of Worthington; Chris Harrison of MD; Billy Ayers; Dave Crawford; and Vanessa Shreve all of Shinnston; Sean Gifford of MA; Sherry Gerrard and Nikki Garrard of Follansbee. Also surviving are her life-long friends, Hestor Belknap and her daughter, Diane Lunsford; and Joann and Dearyl Mayfield; as well as her close friends, Sandra Gonzalez; Carolyn Jones; Maria Spino; and Mary Martin. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Dorsey was preceded in death by her sisters, Lorean Gifford and her husband Gif; and Wanda Gerrard and her husband Edmund; her brother, Dearis Robinson and his wife Alice; her nephews, Bill Harrison; Dave Crawford; and Eddie Gerrard; as well as her sisters-in-law, Dorothy “Dot” Dorsey and Helen Crawford; and her brother-in-law, Edgar Dorsey.

Mrs. Dorsey was a graduate of Shinnston High School. In 1971, she and her husband, Paul, opened Dorsey Funeral Home where the two served Shinnston and surrounding communities until his passing in 1991. She was a member of the Shinnston Garden Club.

Mrs. Dorsey loved flower gardening and raising her Shelty Collies. She was Methodist by faith. Friends will be received at Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St. Shinnston, on Thursday from 2-7 pm.

A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, August 31st at 11:00 AM with Pastor Kevin Nuzum officiating. Entombment will follow at the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum. Online condolences can be extended to the Dorsey family at www.
