George E. Armbruster, 65 of Appleton passed away peacefully Monday July 23, 2018 after a short battle with cancer. He was born in Oak Park, IL to the late Gordon and Jean (Rupright) Armbruster. George worked at Appleton Papers for 37 years.

Retirement offered him the ability to enjoy his favorite hobbies which included: fishing, golfing, riding his motorcycle and watching the Packers. George is survived by his five children; Mike (Karina) Armbruster, Kristina Armbruster, Angie (Cole) Kantner, Ryan (Melissa) Armbruster, and Jason Armbruster; his sister Lois (Bob) Baker; 12 grandchildren, a niece, a nephew, and many friends. A memorial service for George will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday July 31, 2018 at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 2211 N. Richmond St; Appleton with Greg Lacey officiating.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday evening beginning at 5:00 PM until the time of service. Inurnment will take place at the Star of Hope Mausoleum, Highland Memorial Park Appleton. George’s family would like to extend a special thank you to FVHO and to the ThedaCare hospice team, especially his nurse Mary.

I can no longer see you with my eyes or touch you with my hands but I will feel you in my heart forever. I love you daddy, your little peanut.
