Obituary for George Fredric Smith After a long battle with Parkinson’s disease, George Fredric Smith of Soso, MS, passed away at his residence in the early hours of Septembet 14,2O! 8. A beloved husband, father, and grandfather, George was born to Warren and Eunie Mae Smith on March 2, 1945 in Waynesboro.

He is preceded in death by his father Warren Smith; mother Eunie Mae (Stevens) Smith; brother David Smith; brother Emmett Smith; sister Alene (Smith) Cherry; brother Willie lrvin (Mary Helen) Smith; and sister Ethel Mae (Smith) Harrison. He is survived by his wife, Anita Anne (Fields) Smith; brother C.J. Smith; sister Olean Smith; sister lrene (Smith) Cherry; son Steve (Charlotte) Smith; son Kevin (Deanna) Smith; daughter Vonda (David) Aaron; daughter Dena Bass; son Jason Nickless; daughter Carrie Stringer; grandson Warren Zink; granddaughter Stephanie (Cody) Stewart; granddaughter Tiffany (Rusty) Leitaker; grandson Tyler Smith; grandson Coby (Jacklynn) Herrin; granddaughter Brittany Smith; granddaughter Maryann (John) Mobley; granddaughter Danielle Evans; granddaughter Haley Mclendon; granddaughter Summer Smith; granddaughter Amiah Lewis; grandson Joshua Nickless; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service was held Sunday, September 16, 2018, at 3:00 PM at McClain Chapel in the Strengthford Community in Waynesboro, MS, followed by a graveside service for burial of George’s ashes in his family cemetery.
