George I. Frain, Sr., 74, of Leechburg, formerly of Apollo, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019. Born November 5, 1944, he was a son of the late Lawrence R. & Louella M. (Bobberts) Frain. George lived in the area all of his life, and worked as a coalminer for Corry Coal Company, and later on the railroad and as a laborer for the former US Steel Sintering Plant in Saxonburg, last working in 1982.

He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting & fishing.
