Summit- George R. Clark, 75, of Gray Road, died Friday, January 11, 2019 at his home after a bad fall while working on the family farm. Born April 25, 1943 in Copiague, NY, he was the son of the late Herbert and Loretta (Singleton) Clark. George and his wife moved to Summit from Bay Shore over thirty years ago.

They have owned and operated the Clark Farm in Summit, which previously had horses and currently sheep. He served several terms as the Magistrate for the Town of Summit. While living in Bay Shore, George was a member of the Bay Shore Volunteer Fire Department.

His daughter, Carol Woreth, predeceased him. Survivors include his wife of fifty-five years, Caroline (Daoust) Clark; his children: Cheryl Clark of Summit, Christine Hoffman (Nick Mayzun) of Esperance, Roger (Angie) Clark of Cobleskill, William (Nichole) Nesenger of Cobleskill, and Jeffrey (Chris) Clark of Wolfe City, TX; his grandchildren: Kimberly Cline, Daniel Hoffman III, Roger Clark, Jr., Brandyn Clark, Richard Woreth, Jr., Samantha Holmes, and Stephanie Woreth. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill.

Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held at the funeral home prior to the service, from noon to 1 PM. Spring interment will be on the family farm. Memorial contributions may be made to Summit Rescue Squad, PO Box 296, Summit, NY 12175 or the Animal Shelter of Schoharie Valley, Inc., PO Box 40, Howes Cave, NY 12092.
