Obituary for George Rodney Scott George Rodney Scott was born to George Scott (deceased) and Leona Scott McKenzie on March 21, 1968. He was the youngest of five children. He grew up in Winter Park, Florida and attended Edgewater and Lake Brantley High School.

Rodney loved Art and drew very well. In Middle School, his art was displayed in the Winter Park Art Festival. He wrote poems and was very good at playing basketball.

His Mother and Aunt were excellent cooks, so he made that his career. He cooked in many restaurants. Some allowed him to make his own recipes.

He was a joy to his mother and always was concerned about her welfare. He was very comical, always making you laugh as he mimicked the roles of different people. One of his favorite saying was “Imagine That!

” He loved his family and children very much, and he had a special place in his heart for his granddaughter, Joella whom he would often tell you to look up on Facebook to see her, Ashley and R. J. He loved going to the library doing research on different subjects. Many of his friends enjoyed talking to him. He loved sharing with you the things he learned through life experiences.

After Rodney was sick for a while he wanted to change his profession and he entered in Daytona College for Nursing. He passed at Hospice of Comforter. His Family was by his side daily.

He will be dearly missed. George Rodney Scott is survived by his daughter: Ashley Jones, his son: George R Scott Jr., his granddaughter: Joella McKinley Scott; his Mother: Leona McKenzie, his brothers: Terry Alexander (Ruby) Orlando, FL; Vincent Taylor, Orlando, FL; his sister: Connie Steele (Tracy) Orlando, FL; Angie Scott Orlando, FL; Aunts, Leola Hatten (Roscoe) Apopka FL; Fannie Baker, Winter Garden, FL; Betty Ann Smith in Altamonte FL; and Margie Riggins in Orlando, FL; he has seven nieces and a host of cousins other relatives and many friends.
