Obituary for Mr. Winston Bernard Ingram Winston Bernard Ingram was born August 26, 1958 to Leala Mae Mount Ingram and Jesse B. Ingram. Winston lived a very challenged life. From birth he couldn’t hear, talk or walk with all the effort and progress put before him he started walking.
He couldn’t talk because he couldn’t hear, he had many types of hearing devices and all failed. Winston at age six years started school at Phyllis Wheatley Elementary where two teachers took concern in him. Mrs. Katie Vereen and Mrs. Betty Baker noticed Wheatley was not the school for him.
They researched to find res for a school to place him. St. Augustine Florida School for the deaf and blind, there he started his journey to life. He met many teachers, supporters and students and gained new family that loved and supported him.
Winston was active in basketball and baseball, Winston also worked in floral and other type jobs. Winston loved people and tried to live a normal life. Winston with two marriages and five children, but never conquered his life challenges to hear and talk.
Winston also suffered many illnesses, diabetes, dialysis and other illness that lead to his demise. To God be the Glory. The Lord saw fit to call our beloved Winston Bernard Ingram to his eternal resting place on May 30, 2018.
His departure is a deep and personal loss to his family and many friends and he will be greatly missed by them all. Winston was preceded in death by his parents, Leala Mae Mount Ingram and Jesse B. Ingram. Winston leaves to cherish precious memories to his wife, Debra Jean Ellison Ingram of Gainesville, Florida; daughters, Latisha Richard of Apopka, Florida, Lakisha Richard of Apopka, Florida and Shelby Ingram of Daytona, Florida; son, Jermayne B. Ingram of Plymouth, Florida; siblings, Betty Ingram of Plymouth, Florida, Carolyn Ingram of Plymouth, Florida, Millisa Ingram of Apopka, Florida, Bobby Mott of Orlando, Florida, Willie Freeman (Patricia) of Apopka, Florida, Harold Ingram (Joann) of Apopka, Florida and Jesse L. Ingram of Plymouth, Florida, Jesse B. Ingram of Apopka, Florida, Terrance Ingram of Apopka, Florida and Devon Ingram of Apopka, Florida; one granddaughter, Bobbi Diane Johnson of Daytona, Florida; a host of cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
