Obituary for Mr. De’Andre Titus Dunston De’Andre Titus Dunston (Dre) was born a king the second of May 1996 to the union of Ervin Dunston Sr. and Shon Williams in Orlando, Florida. In his 22 years of life he has come to be a successful businessman, an inspirational mentor and a joyful light to all who knew him. A 2014 graduate of West Orange High School, this warrior went on to pursue and completed his AA degree in Business Administration.
While working numerous retail positions, pursuing his passion for photography & graphic design, baking and creating decorative cakes, Dre states, “I got dreams that’s worth more than my reality; and pride that’s worth more than salary”. He never backed away from a challenge. Dre grew up at the Washington Park Church of God, but as he entered into adulthood he joined The Rock of Salvation Church of God where he began to master praise dancing and that he did.
When he danced he put ALL his heart into it. Once he asked, “should I wear the white mask or just go with the white face? ” He said, “because I don’t know what to do with my face and when it’s covered it gives me more confidence”.
Not realizing he touched each soul with his anointed spirit either way. As a diligent and dedicated worker of God, Dre became the Youth Leader. Getting into his creative self, he begin suggesting ideas for the youth putting them into position and accomplishing many of the goals he set before him.
Dre worked at Kingsway Christian Academy where he was not only the Kitchen Manager but also someone the children as well as the teachers and administrators looked up to. He frequently enjoyed playing video games with his brothers and cousins and strategically planned to crush and destroy every enemy on the screen with just the right buttons, keystroke or sound. Dre’s favorite biblical scripture can be found in Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end”.
Dre often stated he was “Tryin 2 make da best decisions in the short tyme I have in this world” which is what he did. His decisions and accomplishments have made a lasting impression on everyone who was blessed to come in contact with him. De’Andre was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandmother, Lillie Mae Radford Williams and Paternal Grandfather, Roy Dunston.
De’Andre is dearly missed by his parents: Ervin and Shon Dunston; his brothers: Ervin Dunston, Davion Dunston, and Elijah Dunston; his sisters: Eboni Dunston, Laurel Benjamin, Ervinesha Dunston, and Brianna Britten; Paternal Grandmother: Rosa Dunston; Maternal Grandfather: Robert Williams, Sr., a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many, many sorrowful students and friends.
