Georgia May Lyons Marshall May 23, 1923 – March 24, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Georgia May Sebby Lyons Marshall, 95, of Rochelle, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019 at home in care of her family. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 29th at the Marseilles Church of the Nazarene with Rev Bill Clark officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.

Burial will be in Norway Cemetery. Georgia was born on May 23,1923, in Ottawa, to George and Jennie (Moe) Sebby. In 1946, she married Galen Lyons of Somonauk, who preceded her in death in 1998.

Georgia then married Walter “Bud” Marshall of Marseilles, who preceded her in death in 2012. She was a member of the Sandwich Church of the Nazarene, where she taught Sunday school for many years and served on the church board. She was employed by James Knight/CTS until her retirement.

Later, she became a member of the Marseilles Church of the Nazarene. Georgia is survived by her children, George (Terre) Lyons of Nampa, ID, Gail (Carl) Herbert of Rochelle, and Glen (Deborah) Lyons of Rockford; eight grandchildren, Keith (Lori) Lyons, Ryan (Lexa) Herbert, Gregory (Karalin) Lyons, Shawna (Robert) Rushing, Kara (Charlie) Lyons-Pardue, Michael (Viara) Lyons, Laura (David) Yanchick, and Nathanael (Laura) Lyons; 22 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary (Ben) Smith of Jackson, MI; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both of her husbands and her siblings, Orion, Alvern “Bud”, Joyce Marshall, and Lois Wold.
