Georgiann B. Barnes, 83, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018. Widow of the late Allen Barnes, Georgiann was born June 27, 1934 to the late Tevis and Maxine Nicholls Blackburn in Versailles, Kentucky. A member of the Frist United Methodist Church, she spent many years volunteering at the Methodist Home for Children, as did her mother and grandmother before her.

She and Allen were avid UK football fans, never missing a game, home or away, even housing the UK student that played the Wildcat mascot. … Read More » Georgiann enjoyed traveling all over the world, meeting new people, experiencing things many only dream of. She and Allen enjoyed life and were thankful for every moment.

Georgiann is survived by her cousins, Donald and Pam Nicholls, Worthington, KY and Lewis and Barb Nicholls, Greenup, KY, as well as numerous extended family members. A Graveside Service will be held 10:00a, Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Versailles Cemetery, officiated by Randy Coy. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions are suggested to the Methodist Home for Children, 1115 Ashgrove Rd, Nicholasville, KY 40356.
