He was born on February 18, 1937 in Detroit, MI to the late Louie and Rose Mary (Sawaya) Rasak. Gerald served in the United States Army and was a member of the V.F.W.

He lived in New Mexico for 24 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Corona. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Rose Mahfood and brothers, Michael Rasak, Joe Rasak and Carl Rasak. Gerald is survived by his daughter, Lisa Meier; sister, Louise; nephew Sebastian Mahfood and granddaughter, Jessica Meier.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the First Baptist of Corona at 10:00 A.M. Pastor Cal West will officiate.
