Gerald William Patton, “Jerry to everyone”, transitioned this life on June 5, 2018 at Research Medical Center. Jerry was born July 2, 1938. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Minerva Patton, brothers, Honorable Judge J. Maurice Patton and John Patton, and a sister, Antoinette Medina.

Jerry received his formal education in the public schools in Kansas City, Missouri. He was a fun-loving, caring and generous person, especially when it came to family. Jerry had a thirty-year career with the Budd Plant retiring in 2001.

He lived his life to the fullest. In the words of Frank Sinatra, “I did it My Way”. Gerald William Patton, “Jerry” leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Edna Bohanon-Patton; his sons, Jerry Adams and Anthony Bohanon; a daughter, Danita James; brother, LeRoy (Margaret) Patton of Portland, Oregon; sister, Patricia Elizabeth Patton (Larry); and grandchildren; great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; special niece, Carla; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service for Gerald William Patton will be held, Saturday, June 9, 1:00 p.m. at the Lawrence A. Jones and Sons Funeral Chapel, 1800 E. Linwood Blvd. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel. Private Disposition.
