Geraldine “Jerry” Cogburn, age 60, of Glenwood, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. She was born on June 27, 1958 in Hot Springs, the daughter of James Dawson and Laverne Robbins Dawson. On July 4, 1981, she was married to Daniel Cogburn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Motley Frueh; and her brother, Frank Dawson. She was formerly employed with Wal-Mart and enjoyed making peanut brittle with her church family. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Cogburn of Glenwood; five children, Nathaniel Cogburn of Glenwood, Vanessa Fatheree of Glenwood, Angela Brooks of Hope, Joe Pumilia of Glenwood and Robert Cogburn of Glenwood; twelve grandchildren; one brother, Robert Dawson of Nashville; two sisters, Bonnie Dawson of Nashville and Teresa Tollett of Hot Springs.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 25, 2019, in The Lighthouse Church, Hwy 70, beside the Dollar General Store in Glenwood, with Bro. Bill Coles officiating. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Glenwood.
