Phyllis Geraldine “Gerry” Warner of Grace Village Retirement Community in Winona Lake, Indiana passed away at 8:53 a.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw at the age of 100. She was born on July 1, 1918 in Mentone, Indiana to Fawn (Doran) Tucker and Mars A. Tucker. On December 24, 1940 she was married to Rex Parker, he passed away in 1976.

On July 21, 1979 she married Arden D. Warner, he passed away on May 19, 2014. Gerry was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana where she was a 1936 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. She then attended Manchester College for two years and received her Associates Degree, after which she taught for three years at Beaver Dam School.

She was a strong believer and attended Center United Methodist Church in Silver Lake, Indiana as well as attending Warsaw Wesleyan Church. Gerry lived a long and full life and very much loved her family especially all of her grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered as a devoted mother and leaves behind two sons: Terry Parker (Silver Lake, Indiana); Lynn (Dianna) Parker (Silver Lake, Indiana); daughter: Paulette (Alan) Holsinger (The Villages, Florida); two step-daughters: Ann Rudig (Warsaw, Indiana); and Sue (Randy) Wagner (The Villages, Florida).

Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, and her brother, Devon Tucker. Her funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by Pastor Kent Harting.

Burial will follow with a graveside service at Lake View Cemetery in Silver Lake, Indiana. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be directed to Grace Village Retirement Community – “Caring Friends”, 337 Grace Village Drive, Winona Lake, Indiana 46590 and would be appreciated by the family.
