Mr. Gilbert Ellis Moore, 75 of 613 Bland Blvd. , transitioned on September 16, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was the son of David Lee and Willie Blanch Moore Coleman, both deceased and the husband of Lorese Patterson Moore, who survives.

He was a 1961 graduate of Jordan-Sellars High School and was a member of First Baptist Church where he served faithfully with he Hospitality Ministry. He was also a member of Surfside Golf Club. During the many years he lived in New York, he was an entrepreneur owning his own Bar and several other establishments.

He is survived by: his wife: Lorese E. Moore; three children: Polly Goins Leath (Alvin), Rodney G. Moore, Sr. and Robin E. Moore; 4 grandchildren: Alva Leath, Rodney G. Moore, Jr., Janiya Moore, AmoréLeath; 2 great-grandchildren: Rahniya Moore and Aria Leath. two aunts: Margie M. Scott, Ophelia Vaughn; an uncle: Wesley Moore as well as many dear relatives and close friends.
