Burlington – George Allan Shatterly III, 65, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at the Hospice Home surrounded by his family. He was born on September 14, 1952 in Alamance County to the late George Allen Shatterly, Jr. and Stella Blanch Shockley Shatterly. Allan was employed with Gold Toe for over 30 years as a computer operator.

He enjoyed playing poker with family and friends; and was a US Navy veteran. Survivors include his daughters, Cheryl Crumpton… Read More » and husband, Jimmy, Lori Owens and husband, Dave; a grandson, Cody Smull; sisters, Ailene Akins and husband, Keith and Kathy Shatterly; special nephew, Jeremy Akins and wife, Jeannie and great nephews, Julian and James Akins. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Ricky Shatterly and a sister, Vicky Shatterly.

A celebration of Allan’s life will be held at 11:00am Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Minister, Phil Laughlin. The family will receive friends following the service.
