Obituary for Giuseppe “Joe” Pomidoro GIUSEPPE POMIDORO March 22, 1931 – August 28, 2018 Giuseppe “Joe” Pomidoro, 87, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 28 after being airlifted to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, NV following a sudden illness. Giuseppe was born in Italy and has been a longtime area resident.

He was proud to have served as the Superintendent of the Solano County Fairgrounds for numerous years. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Dorothy; daughter, Marisa Busselen and her husband, Jon; son, Gianni Pomidoro and his wife, Maria; sister, Marie; brother, Giuseppe Filohao; and grandson, Michael; and granddaughters, Nicolina and Mattea. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Thursday with a rosary service at 7 PM Thursday at Twin Chapels Mortuary, 1100 Tennessee St., Vallejo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM Friday at St. Basil’s Church, 1230 Nebraska St., Vallejo. Entombment will follow at All Souls Cemetery, Vallejo. Arrangements entrusted to the direction and care of Twin Chapels Mortuary, Vallejo (707) 552-6696.
