Gladys Hammond Funkhouser August 09, 1923 – December 25, 2018 Share this obituary Local Florists View/Sign Guest Book Gladys Hammond Funkhouser passed away Tuesday December 25, 2018 at her home in Strasburg, Virginia at the age of 95. She was the daughter of Ray and Mary Hammond, also of Strasburg. Gladys attended Lebanon Lutheran Church and was active in her lifetime with Shenandoah County 4-H Club, 4-H All Stars, Lebanon Lutheran Church, Lutheran Church Woman (LCW), and American Red Cross Blood Drives.

She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Charles Edwin Funkhouser. She is survived by her children, Cornelia Skinner and her husband Alan, Karla Funkhouser and her husband Joe, James Funkhouser and his wife Debra, Kevin Funkhouser and Tracy; and their children and grandchildren. Family and friends will gather for a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Lebanon Church Cemetery.
