Gladys Archer, age 89 of Tony, Alabama, formerly of Cornersville, died Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Archer was a native of Hardaman, Mississippi born April 1, 1929 daughter of Vernice and Bessie Wiggs Higginbotham. She was retired from Cosmolab, Inc. and was a member of Harmony Hill Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Archer, son, Charles Patton Archer, four sisters, Faye Emerson, Thelma “Sis” Carlin, Josie Newland, Jewel Palmer, brother, Jack Higginbotham, stepson, Willaim “Bill” Archer and stepdaughter, Rodna Edwards. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Archer Lagrone of Tony, Alabama & special friend, Clyde Ingram of Lewisburg, stepdaughter, Barbara (Bill) Henry of Front Royal, Virginia, daughter-in-law, Mary Archer and granddaughter, Stacie Archer of Middleburg, Florida, very special friends, Alice Smith and her daughter, Lisa Simmons of Fayetteville, daughter-in-law, Jimmie Archer of Tyler, Texas, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in Talley Cemetery at Cane Creek.

The family will be at London Funeral Home Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday until the funeral hour for visitation. London Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
