James Robert Whitsett, age 89 of Lewisburg, died Friday, November 16, 2018 in NHC Lewisburg Healthcare. Mr. Whitsett was a native of Marshall County, Tennessee born October 28, 1929 son of William Alec and Abbie Dallas Eldridge Whitsett. His years of education were spent in Forrest School at Chapel Hill.

He retired as a driver with TR Miller Trucking and he was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Dwight Whitsett, sister, Helen Reed, and son-in-law, Larry (Pee Wee) Lynch He is survived by his wife of seventy-one years, Sarah Louise Taylor Whitsett of Lewisburg, daughter, Sarah Estella Whitsett Lynch of Hillsboro, brother, Kenneth Whitsett of Ocala, Florida, seven grandchildren, Jonathan Thomas, Andrea Morton, Stephanie (Pat) Green, Carrie Thomas, Nikki Green, Megan (Neil) Cathey, and Mitch Ward, nine great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, three nieces, and one nephew. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 19, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in Harper-Taylor Cemetery near the Caney Springs Community.

The family will be at London Funeral Home Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour for visitation. London Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
