Rosie Elizabeth Childress, age 76 of Lewisburg, died Tuesday, November 13, 2018 in Marshall Medical Center. Mrs. Childress was a native of Columbia, Tennessee born January 26, 1942 daughter of Loyd and Gracie Mae Ramsey Davis. She was a homemaker and member of the Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Junior Davis and one sister, Ellen Smith. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Childress of Lewisburg, three daughters, Elizabeth Dawes of Lewisburg, Vickie Pitts of Lewisburg, and Kimmie Cozart of Atlanta, Georgia, two step-sons, James Christopher Childress of Lewisburg and David Timothy Childress of McMinnville, two brothers, Jimmy Davis of Columbia, and Willie Paul Davis of Lewisburg, seven grandchildren, Steven Carroll King, Justin Lee King, Jennifer Rose Dawes, Dusty Lee Dawes, Chasity Cozart, Danielle Pitts, and Daniel Pitts and sixteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted by Dr. Tom Dumser Friday, November 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Ring Cemetery in the Pottsville Community.

The family will be at London Funeral Home Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. for visitation. London Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
