Obituary for Glayds Jean Lewandowski Gladys Jean Lewandowski, age 87 of Port Hope, passed away Friday, June 15, 20118 at St. John Medical Center in Detroit, under Hospice Care. She was born on May 18, 1931 in Ann Arbor to the late Elmer & Elva (Sopha) Walsh. Jean and James Lewandowski were united in marriage on August 2, 1952 in Marysville.

He preceded her in death on August 16, 2010. Jean worked at the original Dorsey House. She was one of the original “Gingham Girls”.

She worked 25 years doing all aspects of the restaurant business. She was a loving and wonderful mother and grandmother, was very kind hearted to all, especially being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and loved her friend and hairdresser Connie Lewandowski. She is survived by her son, Daniel Lewandowski of Port Huron, 4 grandchildren: Amy Lewandowski, Danny Lewandowski, Riane Lewandowski, Laurie Beadle, and 9 great grandchildren.

Jean was preceded in death by her son: John Lewandowski, her brother Elmer Walsh, and sisters: Dorothy Capps, Cathleen Guitar, Doris Cole, Betty Funeral Mass for Jean will be Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 11 am at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, of the Holy Name of Mary Parish of Harbor Beach. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 3-8pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach.

Visitation on Wednesday will be at the church beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11 am. A Parish Scripture service will take place Tuesday at 7 pm at the funeral home. Memories can be shared at www.
