Obituary for Glenda Staples Funeral services for Glenda Staples, age 81, of Lindale, Texas are scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Saturday, June 9, 2018 in the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale with Rev. Rick Ivey officiating. Interment will be private with services under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home.

Glenda died Thursday, June 7, 2018 in a Tyler nursing center. She was born on February 2, 1937 to the late Vernon Glenn and Velma (Land) Staples and was a lifelong resident of Lindale. She retired from the Lindale Independent School District after 30 years as a school teacher.

Glenda was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was part of the Lucy Bradshaw Sunday School Class there. She also very much enjoyed traveling. Glenda is survived by her sister, Peggy Mallory of Lindale, Texas; nephew, Glenn Mallory of Lindale, Texas; and numerous cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M., prior to the funeral service, at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Glenda Staples please visit our Sympathy Store.
