Obituary for Timothy Lee Pickens Graveside services for Timothy Lee Pickens, age 55 of Van, Texas, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the Lindale City Cemetery with Pastor Randy Carter officiating and under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale, Texas. Timothy passed away Friday, June 15, 2018 in Smith County, Texas. He was born August 25, 1962 in Dover, New Hampshire to the late, Delbert and Gladys (Pottle) Pickens.

Timothy was a longtime resident of California, Maryland before recently residing in East Texas where he was a member of The Church of Garden Valley in Lindale, Texas. Timothy worked as a mechanic, was a firearms enthusiast, loved his family and had the heart of a true servant. Very passionate about his country and served in the United States Navy during the Gulf War and Desert Storm.

During his time in the Navy he received such honors as the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Navy Unit Commendation, the Battle “E” award, the Kuwait Liberation Medal, the Meritorious Unit Commendation, the SEA Service Deployment Ribbon, and was an Expert Marksman with a . 45 Caliber Pistol. Timothy is survived by his wife, Jennifer Pickens of Van, Texas; children, Rebekah J. Pickens of Indiana, Pennsylvania, Timothy L. Pickens II of Indiana, Pennsylvania, Kerri Marie Utz of Pittsville, Maryland, Robert Lee Blevins of Willards, Maryland, Thomas William Driggers of Willards, Maryland, Larry Keith Reyna II of Mechanicsville, Maryland, Miranda Lynne Reyna of Aberdeen, Maryland, Justin Matthew Reyna of Trenton, North Carolina, Carolyn Grace Sola of Van, Texas, and Lilly Anastasia Sola of Van, Texas; sister, Gail Robin Angulo of High Point, North Carolina, Robert A. Plant of Kansas City, Missouri, David Boyd Pickens and wife, Beth of Castle Hill, Maine, Stephen Delbert Pickens and wife, Sharon of Cabot, Arkansas, Joseph Fredrick Pickens and wife, Deborah of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, Dwight Nathan Pickens and wife, Laurie of Abington, Pennsylvania; stepmother, Helen Pickens of Austin, Arkansas; 4 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
