Obituary for Gloria Glea Burkholder Gloria Glea Burkholder, 79, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the Humboldt Care Center North. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Gunderson Funeral Chapel in Fort Dodge. A private funeral service will be held on Wednesday with burial following at North Lawn Cemetery.

Gloria Glea Fisher, the daughter of Marion and Bessie (Mix) Fisher was born November 22, 1938 in Webster City, Iowa where she also attended school. On November 30, 1956, Gloria was united in marriage to Richard Burkholder. After their marriage the couple made Fort Dodge their home where she was a stay at home mom.

Gloria loved camping with her family. She also enjoyed quilting, crocheting, cooking and baking. Gloria is famous for her chicken and potato salad.

But she know in Iowa for her desserts and especially her Christmas Cookies. Gloria baked hundreds of cookies so she and her daughters could give them away. Gloria is survived by her two daughters, Brenda (Dave) Becker and Wanda (Chris) Lee; six grandchildren, Mandi (Scott) Kelley, Richie Crouse, Erik McFarland, Emile McFarland, Elly (Josh) Majors and John Lee and her 12 great-grandchildren.
