Gloria J Stone of Panama City, Florida April 8, 1924 – March 15, 2019 Gloria J Stone, age 94, went home to be with the Lord on March 15 2019, in Dothan, AL. Gloria was born on April 8, 1924 in Yonkers, NY. Gloria was a beloved mother and grandmother.

She married the love of her life in September of 1945 at the end of World War II. Gloria was a Christian who attended Central Baptist Church of Panama City for more than 50 years. Gloria is survived by her daughter, Gloria Louise Sowell (husband Rex), of Panama City, FL; her daughter, Virginia Marie Stone; and her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Capt. Willis Stone, of Panama City, FL; her son, Willis Robert “Bobby” Stone, of Panama City, FL; and three brothers and one sister. Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, March 18, 2019 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Rev.

Jason Sowell officiating. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Gloria’s life. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Current Initiatives at www.
