Obituary for Gnellia Louise Jeffers Gnellia Louise Queen Jeffers, age 83, formerly of Rock Cave, died Monday, September 24, 2018, at Crestview Manor in Jane Lew, where she had been a resident for several years. She was born on May 16, 1935, in Rock Cave, a daughter of the late Herman James and Wanna Alice Riffle Queen. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one sister Dorothy Layfield and one brother John Queen.

She is survived by one daughter Anita and husband John Nelsen of Chapel Hill, NC; two sons: James Jeffers of Davie, FL and Dennis Jeffers and wife Teresa of Charlotte, NC; eight grandchildren: Jacob Nelsen, Courtney, Emily, Gavin, Justin, Haley, and Nathan Jeffers, and Kaycee Coleman; one great grandchild Jayce Jeffers; one sister Dreama and husband Marty Mullins of Fairmont; one brother Howard and wife Marsha Queen of Rock Cave; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Gnellia was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church. She was a gifted pianist who began playing in church around the age of 12 and continued to play throughout her lifetime; she gave piano lessons and played for other residents at Crestview Manor.

She loved to share her talent and love for music with others. She had been employed as a manager for World Travel with AAA. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 28, 2018, from 5-8:00 PM, at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at 10:00 AM, at the Rock Cave United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kara Philippi and Pastor David Jessie officiating. Interment will follow in the Rock Cave Cemetery.
