Goldie was born January 7th, 1924 in Portland, Oregon to Alexander and Mabel Dumas, and passed away peacefully on October 4th, 2018 in Bellevue, WA. Goldie graduated from Oregon State University in 1949 and was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. She made many lifelong DG friends, and was proud that her Granddaughter Kaley followed in her footsteps to also become a DG at OSU.

Goldie met her husband Don at a “Pray for Snow” party at Timberline Lodge on Mount Hood in 1949, and they were married in 1952. They were extremely blessed with a wonderful 66 years of marriage and raised three outstanding sons in the Woodridge area of Bellevue: Mark (Kristin), Ron (Julie) and Dave. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Jace (Christine), Bryce (Julianna), Kaley, and Nathan.

Goldie’s two brothers are Murrey Dumas (deceased) and Jack Dumas of Medford Oregon. Goldie taught elementary school in the Bellevue School District and retired in 1988. She loved reading, playing bridge, traveling, and spending time with her family skiing and other activities.

She was also a member of Overlake Service League and Bellevue Presbyterian Church. We will miss Goldie, but she will always live in our hearts. If you’d like to make a donation in her name, please consider the organizations that Goldie was passionate about: Children’s Hospital, and the Humane Society.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Pacific Regent for the wonderful care she received this past 6 months. Private family service will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery.
