Obituary for Grace Evelyn Hazen Hazen, Grace, age 98, of Centerville, passed away Sunday, July 1st, 2018. She was born April 13th, 1920 to Maud (Shanklin) and Louis Scharenberg. Along with her late husband, Lee, she was the co-owner/ bookkeeper for Bittner Tax Service.
Grace retired in 1995. Grace was a member of Crossview Christian Church and the Order of Easter Star Chapter #278. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lee R. Hazen; brother Paul E Scharenberg, and son-in-law Thomas Fredricksen.
Grace is survived by her daughters, Beth Fredricksen of Placerville, California and Carol (Steve) Ramke of Centerville; grandchildren, Kristine (Michael), Kimberly (Jamie), Sara (Justin), Shaun (Allison) and Rachel; great-granchildren, Kathryne (Ulises), Jennifer, Morgan, Emilia, Shane, Noah, and Colton; and one great-great grandson, Sebastian. Grace loved her Savior, Jesus Christ, her family, and traveling. She was feisty but faithful, patriotic, and tenacious.
She will be deeply missed by all who loved her. You are invited to celebrate Grace’s life beginning with a visitation of family and friends on Thursday July 5th from 11:30 am until time of the service at 12:30 pm at Conner & Koch Life Celebration Home, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook. Jim Smith will officate.
