Obituary for Paul Bush Seaton Seaton, Paul Bush, age 97, of Bellbrook, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, September 26th, 2018 surrounded by friends and family at his home. Born October 7th, 1920 to Ersie Seaton and Pearl Seaton (Bush), he received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kentucky. Paul retired after 35 years of service, most recently as Chief of Electronics Warfare Analysis and Evaluation Branch and Supervisory Electronics Engineer in the Avionics Laboratory at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.

During his time in the electronic countermeasures field, he obtained recognition throughout the Department of Defense and Industry as an authority in the field of Electronic Warfare. Paul has written innumerable scientific and engineering articles, including “AFAL Electronic Warfare Investment Strategy” a text that was later used broadly to model Air Force laboratory divisions and the US Navy. Post retirement, he worked as an independent consultant for Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia.

Paul was a veteran of World War II, where he stationed with the 569th Bomb Squadron, 390th Bomb Group. During his time in service, he received more than twenty awards and medals, including the Distinguished Unit Badge with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal, six Bronze Service Stars, and Air Force Outstanding Career Award. He was a member of various societies including: USAF Association, Scientific Research Society of America, Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, the Association of Old Crows, and he was commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel.

Paul was a sports enthusiast and avid University of Kentucky fan. He traveled the world playing golf. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Carolyn M. Seaton.

Paul is survived by his daughter Elizabeth Lynn Hoffman, grandchildren Tadd (Carrie) Wessel and Zak (Lark) Wessel; and great-grandchildren Carolina, John Cannon, Sarah Seaton, Zoey Mae, and Ellie Wessel.
