Greg R. Maulson, 67, of Dubuque passed away Monday, June 18th, 2018 at UIHC from complications of surgery. As per Greg’s wishes cremation was performed and there will be no public visitation or services. Greg was born August 17, 1950 in Dubuque, the son of John & Evelyn “Peggy” Maulson.

He graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1968 and joined the Navy. He returned to Dubuque to graduate from the University of Dubuque in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science degree. On February 22, 1980 he married Paula Exstrom in Dubuque, they separated after 17 years of marriage.

Greg worked at Steel Warehousing as a Salesperson for most of his career. During retirement Greg enjoyed the company of his many friends. Greg loved telling stories to anyone who would listen.

Some of his many passions included cooking, collecting anything he thought was collectable, attending to his flowers and his love of animals. Greg is survived by his sister Joan (Gordon) Block of Asbury, IA. , nieces Laura (Jon) Kramer of Peoria, AZ, Amy (Joe) Clasen of LaMotte, IA, great-nephew Ben Kramer & great-niece Morgan Kramer both of Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents. The family would like to thank all of Greg’s friends for being like a family to him. To honor Greg’s memory please consider a donation of time or money to your favorite charity.
