Gregory A. Brown, age 71, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Tuesday morning October 2, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Bellefontaine February 15, 1947, to the late Leonard and Betty (Mabra) Brown. Gregory was also preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Brown Jr., and sisters Judy Scott, Connie Whetsel, and Berdetta Johnson.

Gregory is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Jennings) Brown, whom he married June 12, 2000 in Bellefontaine. He is also survived four children, Betty (Mel) Harrison of Jacksonville, Florida, William Henry, Janie Brown, and Samuel Brown, all of Bellefontaine; two sisters, Jacqueline Jackson of Bellefontaine, and Deborah Brown of Hilliard, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Emmett Jennings of West Liberty, Ohio; a special cousin Phillip Brown of Detroit, Michigan and numerous nieces and nephews. Gregory worked for many years at Tri-County Weatherization as an estimator and inspector.

He loved fishing and mushroom hunting. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 3 P.M. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Bellefontaine. A private family burial will held on a later date at the Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty.

The family was assisted with the arrangements by the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
