Laurie L. (Ashcraft) Bowling, age 63, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away at 8:31 P.M. Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, Ohio. She was born in Bellefontaine August 15, 1955, to the late Daniel W. and Nancy D. (Sparks) Ashcraft. Laurie was also preceded in death by her brothers, William “Bill” Ashcraft and Jeffery Richard Ashcraft and a nephew, Jackson Blue Ashcraft.

She is survived by her daughter, Heidi (Dustin) Hall of Bellefontaine; grandchildren, Starriy, Reign, Nautus, Messiah and one on the way; nieces, Nancy J. “Joni” (Brad) Orders of Ostrander, Ohio, Jennifer (Josh) Wilcoxon of Bellefontaine, Amanda (Ryan) Montgomery of Delaware, Ohio and a nephew, Daniel (Meghan) Ashcraft III of Bellefontaine. Laurie graduated in 1973 from Bellefontaine High School. She worked for Family Vision Eye Care in Bellefontaine for over thirty years.

Laurie loved her job and all the patients she cared for. She was a member of the Indian Lake Moose Lodge and enjoyed watching The Ohio State University football games with her friends. Most importantly, she loved being with her grandchildren.

Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate a funeral service for Laurie and her father, Daniel W. Ashcraft at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine. Visitation will be held for Laurie and Dan Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 6 to 8 P.M. and one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home. Burials will be at the Bellefontaine Cemetery in Bellefontaine.

The arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine. KVH Donations may be made to: Ohio School for the Deaf 500 Morse Rd.
