Harry A. Ricks Jr., age 85, of Huntsville, Ohio passed away at 12:00 A.M. Friday, November 2, 2018 at Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine, Ohio. He was born in Huntsville October 26, 1933, to the late Harry Alfred and Evelyn (Gregg) Ricks Sr. In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by a son, Garry Ricks and a half-sister, Mary Jo Knapp. On November 9, 1956, Harry married Phyllis Hurley in Mt.

Victory, Ohio and she survives along with their daughter, Jerri (John) Goodman; two sons, Perry Ricks and Barry (Julia) Ricks; six grandchildren, Heather (Todd) Reiter, Mandy Ricks, David Ricks, Tori Ricks, Caimin Goodman, and Ciaran Goodman; five great grandchildren, Scott Reiter, Noah Reiter, Sam Reiter, Gavin McClintock, and Will Ricks. A United States Army Veteran, Harry served during the Korean War. He worked at Rockwell for twenty years before becoming co-owner of Snapp Barber & Beauty Supply in Huntsville.

Harry attended the Huntsville United Methodist Church, and was a member of Bellefontaine Lodge #209 Free & Accepted Masons and the Charles R. Collins American Legion Post #381 in Huntsville. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine with a Masonic Service beginning at 7:45 P.M. Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Huntsville Cemetery with military honors by the Logan County Veteran Honor Guard.

The arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine. DS Donations may be made to: Logan County Cancer Society % Mary Rutan Hospital 205 Palmer Ave.
