Gregory A. Mitch Mitchell, 46, of Lock Haven passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport Hospital after battling an infection. Born December 30, 1972 in Lock Haven, he was the son of Linda and Frank Lyons and the late Wayne Mitchell. Mitch graduated from Lock Haven High School in 1992.

He was a dedicated father and loved his children, grandchildren and dogs. Mitch was the life of the party and he felt life was a party. He loved fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles and outdoor adventures.

Mitch enjoyed cooking and did so over the years at the Truck Stop, The Cottage Restaurant, The Crust and Champs Restaurant. In addition to his mother and step-father, Linda and Frank Lyons of Castanea, he is survived by three daughters: Kaleigh Kephart (Ryan Ashton) of South Williamsport, Avery Mitchell of Florida and Alyssa Mitchell of Linden; two grandchildren, Olivia Ashton and Sawyer Mitchell; two sisters, Marlene (William) Major of Castanea and Brenda Fenstamaker of Lock Haven; the mother of his children, Shirl Kephart Mitchell; his brother-in-law, Mike Kephart; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Wayne Mitchell, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Bruce Fenstamaker.

Mitch will be greatly missed as he continues on his journey. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, Pa 17745. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc. to assist with funeral expenses.
