Gregory Lee Kostenbader July 24, 1958 – December 20, 2018 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences Kostenbader, Gregory Lee, 60, of Ridgewood suddenly passed on Dec. 20. Born in Washington DC and raised in Ridgewood, Gregory was a graduate of Ridgewood High School where he was an accomplished wrestler and all-county middle linebacker.

He attended Lycoming College and then went on to become a hugely successful computer analyst at UPS in Paramus, earning many awards before retiring after 20 years. His interests mainly consisted of photography, golf, and playing the guitar. Gregory was predeceased by his father, Clayton Lee Kostenbader, and is survived by his mother, Ingeborg Ida Kostenbader; his sister Heidi Hoffman and brother in law Charles Hoffman; and his beloved niece Hayley Hoffman.

A memorial gathering for his friends and loved ones will be held Thursday, January 3rd from 6-8pm at the C.C.VanEmburgh Funeral Home in Ridgewood. In lieu of flowers, a donation to German Shepherd Rescue of NJ in Gregory’s memory would be appreciated.
