HOLYOKE: Gregory M. Smith, age 55, of Holyoke, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at his home. He was born in Holyoke, son of Patricia (Kingsley) Smith of Holyoke and the late Gary Smith and was a 1981 graduate of Holyoke High School. Greg was the owner of Valley Roof Company.

He enjoyed playing chess, was an avid gardener and loved animals. Greg was predeceased by his father and a sister, Karin Smith. Besides his mother, he is survived by a brother, Gary P. Smith of Holyoke; a sister, Susan Smith of Holyoke; a niece, Kayle Guilbault and three nephews, Ryan Whisman, Jagger Smith, and Elivs Whisman.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, June 10th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. with a brief prayer service at 4:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Jerome Cemetery, 1666 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Please omit flowers, donations may be made to Providence Hospital, 1233 Main Street, Holyoke, MA 01040.
